This privacy statement applies to www.datatelligence.net, owned and operated by Datatelligence Online, a division of Cunningham Research Group (CRG Global, Inc.), specializing in the development and management of online panels. Datatelligence Online has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and to inform panel members about our practices regarding the collection and use of personal information when they join and participate in our surveys and the choices available regarding the use of, access to, and how to update and correct personal information. The following paragraphs disclose our information gathering and dissemination practices.
Personal information is any information that identifies you, the panel member, or research participant. This can include name, email, phone number, mailing address and, in some instance your member ID.
HOW IS THIS INFORMATION COLLECTED?
Basic personal and demographic information such as name, age, gender and email address are collected when respondents sign up and register to join the panel. Additional profile information is collected when a person becomes a member of the panel. This is necessary so that we can invite you to participate in surveys that fit your background and lifestyle. Completing your profile information ensures that you are not invited to surveys that you’re not qualified for. Of course, we never collect any personal information without your consent.
HOW DO YOU USE THIS INFORMATION?
Datatelligence Online does not sell, rent, lease or loan personal information collected from its members to any third parties except as described in this privacy statement. Your name is never disclosed to our clients and your responses are always kept confidential. We use personal information strictly for research purposes only. Your email address will only be used to invite you to participate in online surveys. Demographic and profile information are used to analyze your opinion, behavior, attitude and other characteristics on a particular study. This data is used in aggregate with other participants. We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as shipping you test products or offering customer service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us. Unless required or authorized by law, your personal information is never disclosed to a client or third party.
We may disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, bankruptcy proceedings, or similar legal process when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
If Datatelligence Online is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
RELEASE OF PRIVACY INFORMATION NOTICE
As per CRG Global, Inc. privacy information policy, CRG does not release personal information gathered about you. However, in specific instances this information may be requested by a third party client, who has asked CRG Global, Inc. to perform the research study on their behalf. The reasons for such requested information would be for the third party client to be able to validate that the research was performed, which may mean that the client may contact you in order to confirm that you participated in the survey, short follow-up to taking the survey, or for another research related purpose.
If such release is requested when participating in a survey, you will receive during the screening process a question asking you for such release to be allowed, otherwise as described above, no privacy information will be released.
We, Datatelligence Online and our partners, affiliates, or analytics or service providers, use technologies such as cookies, tags, and scripts, to analyze trends, administer the website, tracking users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual and aggregated basis.
As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data.
We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve analytics and/or site functionality.
We value your open and honest opinions, when participating please adhere to the confidentiality agreement per study instructions.
Members have the opportunity to participate in surveys, by responding to an email invitation sent from Datatelligence Online. Survey participation is purely voluntary. These surveys cover a wide range of topics and the information collected is not tied to a respondent’s personal information. Each survey invitation contains a link to the study, topic of the study, incentive and deadline information. Panelists are not penalized for non-participation. However, you might get a survey reminder if you do not respond. If you do not wish to participate, simply ignore the invitation and reminders, or send an email to email@example.com, so that we can remove you from that sample.
Any of the below classifications of incentives will be issued to a Datatelligence Online panelist for their participation and full completion of the entire survey participated in. These incentives may be combined in an amount equivalent to the invitation as determined by CRG Global, Inc. in their sole discretion and as stated in the survey invitation. No substitutions allowed. During the period of any active survey, CRG Global, Inc. reserves the right at any time to substitute one classification of incentive listed below for any other classification, or any combination of classifications (with the exception of Datapoints). All substitutions or substitutions of combinations of classifications will be given at an equivalent or greater value than that which was originally granted to the participant.
Datapoints is a default currency as determined in the sole discretion of CRG Global, Inc. for the purpose of awarding incentives redeemable at participating vendors. Datapoint value may vary per participating vendor. Once you’ve accumulated 1000 Datapoints, you can log into your members account and redeem your points for an item from one of our vendor sites. It’s that simple.
GIFT CODE INCENTIVE
Gift Code Incentives are active electronic gift cards (not physical gift cards) redeemable at a specific online vendor for up to the value stated in the e-mail survey invitation.
GIFT CARD INCENTIVE
Gift Cards Incentives are either a) a physical gift card you will receive in the mail or b) a digital version of a physical gift card you will receive via e-mail. Both a and b are redeemable at a major company which offers pre-determined products or which offers a total redeemable value.
Check Incentives are checks written in the value of U.S. Currency issued to Datatelligence Online panelists for a specified amount as determined by each survey invitation.
Drawing Entries are chances to win a specific item chosen in the sole discretion of CRG Global, Inc. during the monthly sweepstakes drawing. No purchase necessary to enter or win. See details at below link.
Datatelligence Online occasionally offers its members the opportunity to enter into a drawing for a chance to win cash or other prizes. In the event that the prize won cannot be distributed electronically, the winner(s) agree to provide Datatelligence Online with an email and mailing address. This information will only be used for notification only and to mail the prize to the winner.
Members who win a prize may be asked for a photo of them to post in our winners page. These can be sent via regular mail or e-mailed to us. If a photo is requested, the respondent in the photo will have to sign our Winner’s Request Form and acknowledge permission to post their picture on our website.
A list of prize winners will be posted on our web site (winners page), pending notification and approval from the winner. Personal information posted includes first name, last initial and photograph, if submitted. You should be aware that any personal information you submit can be read, collected, or used by other web site visitors. We are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit on our winners page. To request removal of your personal information publicly posted in our winners page, please CONTACT US.
