Privacy Statement

Last updated: Jan 26st, 2017

This privacy statement applies to www.datatelligence.net, owned and operated by Datatelligence Online, a division of Cunningham Research Group (CRG Global, Inc.), specializing in the development and management of online panels. Datatelligence Online has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and to inform panel members about our practices regarding the collection and use of personal information when they join and participate in our surveys and the choices available regarding the use of, access to, and how to update and correct personal information.  The following paragraphs disclose our information gathering and dissemination practices.

Personal information is any information that identifies you, the panel member, or research participant. This can include name, email, phone number, mailing address and, in some instance your member ID.
Basic personal and demographic information such as name, age, gender and email address are collected when respondents sign up and register to join the panel. Additional profile information is collected when a person becomes a member of the panel. This is necessary so that we can invite you to participate in surveys that fit your background and lifestyle. Completing your profile information ensures that you are not invited to surveys that you’re not qualified for. Of course, we never collect any personal information without your consent.
Datatelligence Online does not sell, rent, lease or loan personal information collected from its members to any third parties except as described in this privacy statement. Your name is never disclosed to our clients and your responses are always kept confidential. We use personal information strictly for research purposes only. Your email address will only be used to invite you to participate in online surveys. Demographic and profile information are used to analyze your opinion, behavior, attitude and other characteristics on a particular study. This data is used in aggregate with other participants. We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as shipping you test products or offering customer service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us. Unless required or authorized by law, your personal information is never disclosed to a client or third party.

We may disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, bankruptcy proceedings, or similar legal process when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

If Datatelligence Online is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
As per CRG Global, Inc. privacy information policy, CRG does not release personal information gathered about you. However, in specific instances this information may be requested by a third party client, who has asked CRG Global, Inc. to perform the research study on their behalf. The reasons for such requested information would be for the third party client to be able to validate that the research was performed, which may mean that the client may contact you in order to confirm that you participated in the survey, short follow-up to taking the survey, or for another research related purpose.

If such release is requested when participating in a survey, you will receive during the screening process a question asking you for such release to be allowed, otherwise as described above, no privacy information will be released.

  • We, Datatelligence Online and our partners, affiliates, or analytics or service providers, use technologies such as cookies, tags, and scripts, to analyze trends, administer the website, tracking users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual and aggregated basis.

We use cookies to remember users’ settings (e.g. language preference). Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use our website, but your ability to use some features or areas of our website may be limited.

  • Log Files
  • As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data.

We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve analytics and/or site functionality.

  • Surveys
  • We value your open and honest opinions, when participating please adhere to the confidentiality agreement per study instructions. Members have the opportunity to participate in surveys, by responding to an email invitation sent from Datatelligence Online. Survey participation is purely voluntary. These surveys cover a wide range of topics and the information collected is not tied to a respondent’s personal information. Each survey invitation contains a link to the study, topic of the study, incentive and deadline information. Panelists are not penalized for non-participation. However, you might get a survey reminder if you do not respond. If you do not wish to participate, simply ignore the invitation and reminders, or send an email to surveys@datatelligence.net, so that we can remove you from that sample.

Any of the below classifications of incentives will be issued to a Datatelligence Online panelist for their participation and full completion of the entire survey participated in. These incentives may be combined in an amount equivalent to the invitation as determined by CRG Global, Inc. in their sole discretion and as stated in the survey invitation. No substitutions allowed. During the period of any active survey, CRG Global, Inc. reserves the right at any time to substitute one classification of incentive listed below for any other classification, or any combination of classifications (with the exception of Datapoints). All substitutions or substitutions of combinations of classifications will be given at an equivalent or greater value than that which was originally granted to the participant.
